I came to this shop to trade/upgrade my phone. The first visit took about one hour. Something was blocking the process (I can’t remember what). Second day, second visit: the process was blocked because they needed to do a credit check. After maybe an hour they finally cleared it and could order the phone. A couple days later once I got notified that the new phone was delivered to the Verizon shop in Parker, I came in the afternoon at 1pm (I had planned to rest before working at night that day). I thought it’d would take maximum an hour but it took over 4 hours! The credit check was still blocking the process. They called my wife 4 times (she wasn’t physically with me and she’s the account manager) to ask her approvals (one time isn’t enough?). Then, they figured it out we had to pay the current balance to be able to overcome the credit application. We paid it and it cleared the situation. I ask to pay the new phone on the spot so the monthly invoices wouldn’t increase: it took them over 30 minutes to make it happen. Then, the phone and the employee started to transfer the data from my old phone to my new phone without asking me (I wanted to do it myself at home another day since I had to work that night). The old phone was already disabled; it took 3 attempts (one hour) to the same result: impossible to reactivate the old phone. Before I left the shop, they told me I have 30 days to return them the old phone. I had to call in sick because I couldn’t rest in the afternoon (I can’t drive all night without resting before). It costed me $550 worth of PTO. The day later, they texted/called me to tell me that I had 24 hours to return the old phone otherwise the new phone will be disabled. I changed my plans last minute to bring back the old phone. To summarize: they don’t know what they are doing, they keep you unaware of what’s happening (After one hour waiting I asked "Could you tell me why you’ve been dealing with that colleague on the phone for an hour now?"), they can’t do anything by themselves (they always have to call the Verizon colleagues to do anything). They give you wrong information. The day I brought my old phone I asked to talk to a manager but he wasn’t here, they told me to call Verizon instead. I did and I had to explain the whole story twice because the first person I talked to transferred me to a second person without explaining anything. I asked for a compensation. At first, she answered "$10". I asked if it was a one time $10 or every month on the invoice? She said a one time $10. I said No it is not enough. She put me on hold and came back with $20, I said No again. She put me again on hold and came back with $50. Tired of wasting my time I said ok but compared to my $550 worth of PTO wasted because I had to call in sick: this is nothing. They are nice at the shop but very unprofessional (Is it a lack of training? or their process are too complicated? Or maybe both. Who knows?).
