We came in to put down our dog we had for 12 years and were welcomed by the most compassionate staff. They made what was such a sad day a little bit better and allowed us to spend his last few minutes feeding him whatever he wanted and we’re so patient. A week after we received a letter showing their condolences signed by all the staff, my family and I are so grateful. They were angels.

On 8/13 I received 3 notices, phone call w/vm, text, email for my ex fiancés dog. I miss the dog bunches. Following Monday I called to do right. I called to remove me from Dani’s emergency contacts. I wasnt in system. We argued , I have 3 hard receipts. I ask if my ex is still on Macs account… yes… and she is the only one on my buddys acciunt? Huh? ! Lost my cool for a moment. The big ‘how’ is we had Mac for a year before R and Dani. I was main, Virginia Morrison backup. Phone voice repeated “ I have to call R ( my ex, no info on shot, nothing, he was too secret) I hung up. Called Pusch Ridge 2 hours to hire them. , Ridge called back, all power still in Ex’s possession. Finally got the records to be sent Ridge. I have never gone back 18-19 days later Northwest has offered no formal explanation or apology and while I liked their care, nobody gives my dog away (even digitally). The practice messed up clerically as bad as it can get and accountability is nowhere in sight. The lack of any contact after is another red flag.

After my 14-year-old Shiba Inu had his very first seizure, I was in full panic mode and didn’t know where to go. I called VCA Northwest Animal Hospital (not realizing I had dialed the Ina location), and they told me to come in. I accidentally showed up at the Rooney Ranch location, which doesn’t usually handle urgent care, but when I explained what happened—and they saw how scared I was—they took us in anyway. From start to finish, the staff was kind, patient, and incredibly compassionate. My dog is very anxious, especially about having his paws touched, but they handled him so gently and respectfully. They cooled him down, ran bloodwork, and clearly explained everything to me. I left feeling so relieved and cared for. I’m so grateful for their professionalism and kindness during such a scary moment. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a team that truly cares.

Worst vet. Took my dog in with a fever a few weeks ago, and when I got there, the door was locked. Called and they said they were coming back from lunch. Finally get in then spent 3.5 hours there and an $800 bill for a bunch of tests they said I needed to do that were all inconclusive. Should have learned my lesson. Went in with a new puppy today and sat waiting for a scheduled appointment for an hour and 45 minutes. No one came to tell me anything. Had to wander through and some other people who brought their dog had to help me find someone. They then said that the doctor was busy and there was no ETA. I told them I was leaving, and they said they would let me go without charging me like they were doing me a favor.
