- SSSteve SurfaroNov 23, 20253.0In VZ stores when you bring your own phone, because the employees make NO MONEY on BYOD, the response will be either a happy greeting and I am going to try and help you, or I am going to seem like I want you to FAIL. In this case, the negative, questioning, “well most likely you can’t use that phone,” efforts by both the employee and the manager, David just put us off. Evidently the phone we received as a gift was locked by a carrier “and COULD NOT BE USED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!” This is ridiculous as I have heard of cases where this has been cleared up, but these folks are just not helpful. I wish we would have gone to the Queen Creek or Desert Ridge store as I have always been treated like the 38 year customer I am.

Find out 1 month later he changed my plan. I was also told my monthly rate would not increase. This also increased. I went to the store to try get it resolved. I told them I was lied to and they did not care. They said the only option was to cancel the contract and pay 50 even though what I was told was completely incorrect. I would stay away from this store. They lie and then refuse to work with you to get it resolved.
