VCA is the best vet office in town. We have used a few different ones over the years, but VCA is the pinnacle of care and customer service. From the front desk girls to the vets themselves, everyone has been kind and knowledgeable. They treat all our pets and they have been amazing. Dr. Reece especially was wonderful recently when our dog needed back to back surgeries. They treat your pets like family and I can't recommend them enough. We love VCA! You will too.

I have never been treated with more care, respect, and love than at VCA Alpine. They took the most amazing care of my senior 17 year old cat. I was given updates often, and I could genuinely tell these wonderful people truly care about the animals they treat. They went above and beyond for my boy, and I can never express my gratitude. Dr. Owens, Breanna, and Mariah are amazing individuals. Thank you to all the staff at VCA Alpine for the work they do.

Do not go here for a health travel certificate! Prior to scheduling my dog’s appointment I had called ahead asking for a quote on a health travel certificate (travel within the state of Alaska) for my dog. Over the phone I had been told about $150 for the travel certificate and exam. Scheduled the appointment, went to it, and at the end when the vet tech comes back with the certificate she quotes me $268 for the travel certificate and exam. In shock at the price difference I explained to tech the prior phone conversation, while she was kind and apologized for the miscommunication stayed firm on the price. While I understand this was not the techs fault I wanted to make this vets pricing known as it is not listed on their website and clearly when I called I was not provided an accurate quote. Out of curiosity after the appointment I called the VCA on Lake Otis and was quoted $208 for an exam and travel certificate. Additionally, as I have traveled with my dog somewhat frequently I would like to call out this vet was over $100 more for their travel health certificate than I have ever paid at any of the other vets my dog has seen for our travels. I do not usually leave negative reviews for a businesses but for future people in my situation needing a pet health certificate, just complying with the airline pet travel rules please take this review into consideration and save yourself some money by going elsewhere.

The veterinarians are all great. The staff is always cheerful friendly, everyone is very animal friendly. Out of all the VCAs I've been to, this location is the most roomy, tidy, and clean. 🐾🐾 my buddies both give it four paws.
