VCA is absolutely amazing! From the front desk girls to the vets, they are caring and kind. They have treated all our pets and have accommodated us in urgent situations. Dr. Reece especially was helpful and incredibly kind when our dog needed back to back surgeries. I can't say enough great things about VCA. If you want your pets treated like family and with exceptional care, this is the place for you!

Oh my goodness, after a not-so-great experience with my rescue puppy at another clinic, I moved him over to VCA Alaska Pet Care Animal Hospital and was not disappointed! The front desk staff is so friendly and doled out treats during our "happy visit," and Dr. Woodward was so patient and good at handling my outgoing but sensitive guy, helping to set him up for better future vet visits.

I can’t say enough about my wonderful experiences with the staff at this clinic! I actually just sent this to their email:
It is with deepest gratitude that I write this. Firstly, I followed Dr. Linda Chang from the Pet Stop. She always had the best interest for all my dogs. Even calling in a specialist for my lab Wheezy when she had mammary cancer.
When I first came into your clinic I wasn’t nervous. Everyone was so welcoming! And I knew she chose a good place for all her patients.
With that said, she has also recommended Dr. Mandy Seymour to do both of Torvis lady surgeries (vulvoplasty, spay and gastropexy) after careful thought and diagnostics. Discussing all with Dr. Mandy.
Torvi is a big girl and probably difficult to work on. Today Dr. Mandy performed a spay and pexy on her. She actually called Friday and was able to get her in today and I couldn’t believe it! Torvi’s first appointment had to be rescheduled due to her eating a sponge!
To all the people I have come in contact with there, I have only experienced compassion and professionalism. The techs, the front desk, ALL OF YOU!
My sincere thanks and I have no other words. I know everyone says this, but my dogs are my everything. They keep me going and without your care, might not be possible. You are all a true team 🥰Anyhow, much love!
Signed,
Torvi and Lucy’s mom Mary Maxwell
Additionally, I would like to add that to all the people who post on Facebook looking for a “reasonably priced” vet, the clinic offers a Care Club deal which thankfully I signed up for. They have different programs and also bill my pet insurance (I have Trupanion). Anyway, I can’t say enough about this hospital and everyone there!

VCA is great when I can get an appointment but I was very disappointed that when my pet was hurting and needed to see a vet I was told it would be a three week wait for an appointment. He doesn’t need emergency care but he does need urgent care from his own doctors. I hope in the future VCA can change their policies to accommodate urgent visits for injured pets. There’s no point in bringing animals to you when they’re healthy if you’re going to be unavailable when they are sick and actually need your vet services.
