Terrible. Called after landing and getting bags, no one picked up for 10 min! Then was told to wait outside and the car would come in 5 min after another 15 min I called again and the unhelpful agent said I could only cancel with dispatch and she put me on hold again. I hung up and called back and asked to be put through directly or on hold yet again but she still could not help. Finally I got through to dispatch and cancelled the car. Walked over and got a taxi immediately. Never using Carmel again. I lost an hour waiting on them.

Carmel was incredibly wonderful. I have used other well-known car services to travel to airports from Manhattan (JFK and EWR) and Carmel was just as efficient and comfortable, and the driver was very helpful (I had two heavy luggages), friendly and respectful. Carmel's total cost including tolls, tax and tip from Manhattan to EWR was $40-50 LESS than the competitor I previously used! It was overall a totally "feel good" experience!
At the appointed pickup time Carmel's driver called me to tell me he was outside my apartment building. Because I am partially disabled the driver helped me to get into the vehicle and fastened the seatbelt. I use a rollator to walk and the driver folded it and put it in his vehicle. It was a round trip and there was no conversation between us as the driver is Chinese and didn't speak English so the ride was a quiet one which I preferred. Unfortunately, his big and roomy vehicle's rear standard seats were uncomfortable as the back of my seat did not recline and I rode sitting straight with my chin resting on my chest!. Using his GPS we had an uneventful ride and got to my destination in good time. It wasn't the driver's fault that the roads were in such bad shape so I was jostled quite a bit. The return trip was identical. The reason I gave Carmel a GOOD score instead of PERFECT is because when I saw Carmel's email itinerary trip results they charged me for tolls even though there were none and the generous tip I gave the driver which pleased him very much, more than he quoted, was higher than my actual amount. I am a satisfied Carmel customer, will call then again when I need car service and I recommend Carmel.

I took Carmel a while back to go to Connecticut from nyc round trip. The cars where clean and the drivers drove well, but when the driver took us back to nyc we where forced to give a bigger tip even though both ways where almost 1000 and we gave them both a 40 dollar tip, the cab driver stood there and argued with us until we gave him the money, the only reason the driver that took us to Connecticut did not act the same was due to it being in a different setting but I could tell he was not please with his tip as well, I do not believe this attitude is projected to every customer and it is utterly ridiculous to me that I have to give you a 100 dollar tip for a ride that was already almost 1000 dollars! Would not recommend

Unacceptable conduct and poor service received from one of your drivers today upon my arrival at JFK Airport. I contacted your company after booking and was informed that the maximum wait time would be 7 minutes. When a driver arrived, I approached the vehicle and stated my name. The driver, an older gentleman, was confused and stated he was waiting for a passenger named "Juan," indicating he had not checked the correct name for the booking. I called your customer service again, and they confirmed the correct vehicle's plate number. I returned to the driver and re-identified myself, referencing the license plate number. The driver then rudely and falsely denied that I had spoken to him moments earlier, outright accusing me of lying when I insisted I had.
Throughout this entire interaction, the driver made no attempt to provide customary service, specifically refusing to assist with my luggage. While in the car and driving the driver began shouting and demanding that I "shut up", because I wasn't right, threatening to stop the car immediately and leave me on the street if I did not comply. This conduct created a hostile, unsafe, and intimidating environment. So I complied. After a while I asked him to confirm the address and he again replied aggressively saying I will tell you and he wouldn't.
If this person doesn't like his job I think probably is better to change it as he wasn't a pleasant person at all and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. This driver displayed extreme unprofessionalism, hostility, and a disregard for passenger safety from start to finish.
