Minha família, composta por 5 passageiros (adultos e crianças), carregando 11 malas, de variados tamanhos, grandes, de cabine e mochilas, utilizamos os serviços da Carmel para transfer do Aeroporto de Newark até hotel em Lower Manhattan, no dia 05/01/2026. Depois, utilizamos o mesmo serviço de transfer para retorno ao Brasil por meio do Aeroporto de La Guardia, em 12/01/2026. O serviço é confiável e transparente, toda a reserva é feita pelo site da empresa, além disso o horário foi religiosamente cumprido nos dois trajetos. Ressalto que minha chegada em Newark ocorreu após voo doméstico saindo de Orlando e o carro (tipo Sprinter) foi capaz de realizar o serviço (pick up) no portão imediatamente ao lado da esteira de retirada das bagagens, não sendo necessário sequer atravessar a rua com as crianças. Em Manhattan, durante o cumprimento da reserva de retorno, o carro black Sprinter estacionou próximo ao hotel, em local permitido, em seguida o motorista entrou em contato por telefone, perguntou nossa disponibilidade para entrar no carro em local indicado na porta do Hotel, na 50 Trinity Place. Presto este depoimento para que outros pais, assim como viajantes tomem conhecimento da ótima qualidade dos serviços prestado pela Carmel em New York.
absolutely worst car service ever, did not pick us up on the morning of an international trip that was scheduled weeks in advance and their compensation for that after filing a complaint was a TWELVE dollar discount. don't waste your time with these people, they don't value their customers at all.
UPDATE in response to the generic business response below: I did report it through their 500 character form (very hard to say much in that little text) as well as the BBB (they have an F grade, wonder why), and a written letter. Their compensation for this incident (which has happened more than once, by the way) was $12 credit, which isn't even close to the anxiety it caused in addition to the overhead in securing another ride that cost twice as much on the spot. But I will say Uber is who came through at the last minute to save the day, so maybe use them instead.

We had gotten a round trip ride for NYE, ride there went smoothly. I was nervous about the ride home because it was scheduled for 1am and we had someone who was immunocompromised with us (and temps were around 20 F) so I called the day before to confirm that they had a car assigned to us that would show up. The reassured me yes. Day of, we get a notification at 1:00am as we are outside that our car is delayed. Around 1:15/1:30 I get a call saying the “car is having trouble getting to the location because of the traffic”. I ended up calling an Uber which was easy and fine (which I was surprised at, hence hired Carmel ahead of time) and we zoomed around in the city because the traffic was nonexistent. So there’s no way traffic was an issue. Very disappointed, especially since I called ahead of time and was reassured there would be no problem and someone was assigned to us. Customer service was easy in refunding me but the stress of that was not worth using them again - the ride share apps were cheaper and more reliable.

Great experience using scheduled rides: Being picked up in NJ going to JFK airport and then being picked up at JFK for the trip home from the return flight.
For the original pickup, driver was here basically an hour early but did not rush us.
For the pickup from the airport, I had paid for the inside pickup. After we got our luggage, I called them since I didn’t see anyone. They checked and confirmed we were at Terminal 5 and said unfortunately they couldn’t so inside pickup (I knew there is major construction and I don’t think you can park in Terminal 5 garage right now.) They confirmed my refund of that and instructions on where to meet the driver for pickup and it would be about 5 minutes.
Went outside a few minutes later and he arrived a few after that.
Both rides were smooth, comfortable and navigated well. I never was uncomfortable like some taxi cab rides and some Uber/Lyft drivers that don’t know the routes, etc.
I have to highly recommend CarMel and will use them again.

We are frequent visitors to NYC over may years. One of the biggest challenges to visiting the city has always been getting from La Guardia airport to mid-town. Several years ago, we discovered Carmel Car Service and have been pleased with every encounter. The price is basically comparable to what we have paid for a taxi in the past and is much more personal and MUCH more comfortable. When we arrived in the city yesterday, there were five of us traveling (which would have made taxi transport nearly impossible), our driver met us promptly and got us into midtown in record time! Crosstown traffic in Manhattan is notoriously slow, but our driver took a route that avoided traffic until the final two blocks! It was wonderful! We would highly recommend Carmel to anyone interested in prompt, comfortable service at a very reasonable price!
