  Hugo Johnson has taken over my high conflict divorce case in March 2019. The case included filing for protection orders, later restraining order, an almost 2-year battle for custody of two minor children and separation from a husband with undiagnosed Narcissistic Personality Disorder. What has really made an impression on me is Hugo's knowledge of the law and expertise with high conflict divorce cases, and ultimately his promptness to respond and act. He has been consistent to provide a timely response to my inquiries, many times these were same day responses to urgent impending issues. I loved that he would explain to me the available options to take legal actions and what each option would entail (what consequences it will bring and how it will affect the overall proceedings of the case), however he would ultimately allow me to make the decisions and he will proceed to translate those decisions into communications with opposing counsel, with the court, FCS, etc. This has made me feel very empowered and encouraged, especially after exiting an emotionally abusive relationship. I would like to add that Hugo and his team have ensured that motions, responses to motions from the other party, entry of orders - everything was done timely and as seamlessly as possible. I felt informed and confident about what is going on in my case. Hugo's support and effort in trial has been absolutely invaluable, he ensured I was well-prepared and knew when and what to expect, he defended me, he fought for the well being of my children and mine, yet he did this with kindness and respect to everyone involved. It was truly amazing and fascinating to watch how he kept track of and juggled so many things at once: he would listen to the testimony being provided, have a list of prepared questions for the witnesses, and preparing new questions on spot based on testimonials provided, checked so many documents (evidence submitted in the exhibits, previous declarations, referrals to other pertinent cases and the law). We have battled against FCS recommendations of 50/50 custody sharing of the children, we have battled against the other party hiding finances and assets, we have fought against a mass of false allegations brought against me and the children's caretakers. It has been a very highly charged process, but I am so grateful to now hold primary custody of the kids and have an equitable division of assets/debt. I would recommend Hugo 100% to anyone who needs an attorney for divorce/separation/child custody battles. He is professional, efficient, knowledgeable of the law and has a vast experience with the courts and judges. After seeking legal help from 2 other attorney's offices and having had a very poor and unfavorable experience, Hugo and his team proved to be God-sent. Thank you sincerely for everything you have done for me! I am sincerely grateful and hope you will have the opportunity to help and defend many others as you helped me!
