  I was shocked by the level of unprofessionalism and impudence I experienced with Mr. Gordon. At times, the interaction felt deceptive. We initially had a thorough consultation, which I now believe was used to falsely reassure or lure clients in, as nearly everything discussed during that consultation seemed to disappear once my fee was paid. Immediately after submitting payment, I provided all of the information requested during the consultation. I independently completed all required tasks, including taking classes, writing a bio, and completing community service—steps I undertook proactively and responsibly. Despite this, I was spoken down to and experienced repeated communication failures. A callback he promised within a few hours turned into 24 hours and ultimately never occurred; I had to initiate follow-up myself. When I finally did, he acted as though we had no prior interaction, casually asking, “How can I help?”—as if I were a new client. What would have been helpful was Mr. Gordon following through on what we discussed: obtaining the camera footage, explaining what work had been completed on my case, clarifying which attorney listed on the website he was so I knew who I would be meeting in court, confirming where we would meet in person, and walking me through the legal process so I could feel informed and prepared. As an attorney defending a reckless driving case, he should understand the importance of reviewing footage to determine whether the alleged speed was even accurate. I also asked him to confirm whether I had taken the appropriate classes and to review the certificates I sent to ensure they were sufficient. His response was dismissive. When I questioned whether he even knew my first name, he replied, “No, but how do you pronounce it?” When I expressed concern, he became defensive and launched into a sarcastic, repetitive statement about having worked in the field for over 20 years. The interaction left me feeling as though I had paid for an overpaid public defender, paired with unnecessary arrogance, rather than retained private counsel providing attentive, client-centered representation. It felt as though I was working for him rather than the other way around. As someone who rarely receives tickets—let alone a reckless driving charge—his lack of empathy toward the anxiety, uncertainty, and reasonable questions of a first-time client was unacceptable. Given that we spent less than 60 seconds before the judge, did not speak at all, and the case was dismissed due to the officer being fired—meaning he did not have to actively represent me—I asked whether it would be possible to adjust the fee I paid.
