  I have nothing but good things to say about everyone here , Jennifer, Iris, Alexandra and Macy, Ya’ll have been good to me.. At times it felt like they were more than just my legal team, more like a therapist and lawyer mixed. They heard me out with no judgement, it felt really comforting just the genuine authentic care that they showed me. Thank you all so much, God bless ya’ll!

  My father and I recently sought support in obtaining Power of Attorney documents so that I can assist him with facets of his life he can no longer do on his own. The team were extremely thorough in covering all needs, even those we hadn't considered. What we appreciated the most were their prompt attention and empathetic characters, doing all they could to take care of us as their clients.

  I waiting a long time before posting this review; this is absolutely the WORST law firm I have ever come in contact with. These people have legitimately ruined my entire life. I have a review on my page about a lawyer and her disregard for abuse in my marriage and not refunding an incorrect charge? But I would have paid them over Burton-McKinnish. The ONLY reason I went with them is because they accepted a partial retainer amount from me. I maxed out my credit cards to get out my marriage only for these people to make my situation WORSE. I didn’t ask for anything, but they insisted on the “deadbeat dad” plan, and stated that if he didn’t “pay” me (after showing the lawyers and mediator that he wouldn’t) so I wouldn’t “shoot myself in the foot”. The only thing I asked for was to be his ex wife, and for him to get his kids, which he was not doing. Be careful because they might retaliate against you should you write them a negative review with the Better Business Bureau, or gossip about you with other attorneys in the area. These people didn’t go to bat for me AT ALL. They actually threw me under the bus when it came time to represent me. They advised me to call the police when my ex husband would show up and when he lied to the police, knowing that they LIED to him in mediation and he attacked me? They posted about it on a public forum. I would never trust these people with my life again after pouring EVERYTHING out to them. A bunch of childish, petty women who only care about themselves. Very passive. I would have stayed and got my a*s whooped every day had I known I’d end up in the situation I’m in today. I should have known something was up when Tegan mention her professor in school wouldn’t allow her to represent him after finding out it was her blindly, or when she discussed confidentiality agreements of other clients with me, but that’s neither here nor there. You live and you learn. I pray to God that these people reap what they sowed; clearly defending a black woman wasn’t good for their image. Thanks a lot, Burton-Mckinnnish for stealing my money and not delivering the results I asked for, let alone completing the job at hand. ***update*** Called two weeks ago, as requested and you all see as the business responded. No one has called me back. This is typical of this law office.
