TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience. The attorney Shelton, assigned to my case was unresponsive, unprofessional, unprepared and most of all incompetent. No empathy, No consideration just completely disconnected from my concerns and my case in general. Zero stars if that was an option. Not sure why this attorney represents the prestigious name Morgan & Morgan. Definitely would NOT recommend. My case manager, Stephanee was great however and I feel bad that she had to be the middleman.

I reached out to Morgan & Morgan seeking representation in an ADA disability discrimination matter. I provided extensive documentation, medical support, and a detailed timeline showing employer knowledge of my disability, accommodation requests, and a failure to engage in the interactive process. While the firm ultimately declined representation, I was disappointed that the decision appeared to be driven by how difficult the case might be to litigate rather than whether disability rights violations occurred. ADA cases are often complex and fact-intensive, and many employees seek accountability and protection of their jobs—not just quick settlements. I respect that law firms must make business decisions, but individuals facing disability discrimination often place a great deal of trust in large firms that publicly present themselves as advocates for workers’ rights. I hope the firm continues to consider the broader purpose of disability laws when evaluating future cases. I appreciate the time spent reviewing my materials and wish the firm well.

My Review of Morgan & Morgan — Deeply Disappointed After a Year of Delays and Poor Communication My experience with Morgan & Morgan has been nothing short of exhausting and incredibly disappointing. I hired them after my accident over a year ago, believing their “For The People” message and “no upfront cost” promise meant I would receive strong representation and basic professionalism. Instead, what I encountered was month after month of unanswered emails, vague updates, and constant delays — especially when it came time for them to finally close out my case and provide my statement. The email chain speaks for itself. For weeks, I repeatedly asked the same simple questions: “What is the status?”, “Do you have the closing statement?”, “Can you provide an update?” Every response I got — when I got one at all — was some version of “We’re waiting on another department,” “Hopefully today,” or “I’ll do my best.” Meanwhile, I was left completely in the dark. No proactive communication. No clear timeline. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Even after sending them a voided check so they could “speed things up,” the delays continued. I kept being told “end of day,” “today or tomorrow,” and “soon”—yet nothing happened. I had to chase them down for every single piece of information, sometimes going days or weeks without any response at all. What makes this even more frustrating is that Morgan & Morgan takes a large percentage of any settlement, yet in my experience they provided minimal follow-through and poor customer service throughout the entire process. Their marketing paints a picture of a supportive, responsive law firm. In reality — at least in my case — it felt like dealing with a giant, automated system where real communication and real care were not part of the service. I expected professionalism. I expected timely responses. I expected transparency about my settlement and closing documents. Instead, what I got was delay after delay and a year-long process that should have been handled far more efficiently. If you’re considering Morgan & Morgan because the commercials make them sound caring and accessible, I strongly suggest thinking twice. My experience shows a completely different side — one where the client is left waiting, guessing, and emailing endlessly just to get the most basic updates on their own case. I would not recommend them based on what I went through.

You asked for more details. I don't have an issue with you dropping my mother's nursing home neglect case after 9 months. That is how liability works. I don't expect you to pursue claims that you do not feel you can win. However, your representatives retained an attorney in my mother's home state to create an estate for her, and then you drop the case and say my family is responsible for any remaining payments on that process! You initiated the process, retained the attorney, and paid them so far. We did not need the estate prior to this potential litigation. It was initiated specifically for your purpose! You also state in your fee agreement that we are not responsible for ANY expenses unless you win the claim. I find this action to be irresponsible and counter to our agreement. Nice of you to wipe your hands and walk away leaving everyone else to clean up any remaining mess you left behind. "Sorry, we can't make any money, so see you later." That is not the proper way to treat clients, successful litigation or not. The attorneys you assigned to our case back in March 2025 were McEldrewPurtell.
