- ABAlton BoatnerAug 5, 20251.0Terrible. I've paid 4500 as a 50% down retainer for an Emergency Ex Parte hearing defence attorney. Only contact was day 1 for court and he postponed it. I have been out if my house for 4 months trying to get in front of the judge. Won't return my calls. His paralegal has contacted me, but they are NOT doing what i ask. I was supposed to be in front of a judge within 14 days of being served. It's now been over 4 months. No judge yet!!!! Update; He quit!! Thank God. Its now been 7 months and still haven't seen a judge about a protective order. Can't go home yet. This guy never made an effort to get me in front of a judge to prove allegations were falsified to get the order in the first place. He was working on a divorce that I don't even know about. I haven't even been served divorce papers. Now if I could get a refund on my payment since he walked away after being paid half, it would be great.
