Terrible service. Terrible communication. Terrible advice. Terrible treatment to the client who is paying them. Terribly unorganized. They do not answer client questions. They do not listen to what the client is telling them. Speaking to them is like talking to a brick wall and then being charged for it. They do not read notes associated with your case. They are not accountable for anything. They point fingers at other people. They want to give in and cater to the client from opposing counsel instead. Immediately tells you to "let the house/property go, it's better that way" because it's easier for them. Does not support client or stand up for what is right. Does not explain things as they should be explained to the client. Very disrespectful to the client. Lawyers here talk to their clients like they talk to opposing counsel. Then, when you point out some of these things to them, rather than rectify the situation, Janet Lowder told me, "you're obviously unhappy with us so I'm dumping you as a client." Extremely unprofessional. Janet Lowder, Ethan Welch, Margaret Maurer and Ryan have been rotten to work with. They just flat out DO NOT CARE. They brag about how much experience they have, yet sit back and do nothing but collect a paycheck. Do not work with this company or these people. Avoid them at all costs. They do NOT work for their clients and do not have the clients' best interests in mind. I should call the Better Business Bureau as well as the Cleveland Bar Association to file a grievance with the Certified Grievance Committee. Based on my experience, I will NEVER recommend this firm to anyone and I will share my horror story with everyone looking for estate attorneys. Best lawyers my behind.
Despite your canned response below, clear and timely communication is NOT something you strive for as nobody has reached out to me and you will not answer my calls. You do NOT care about my case or situation, and do not want to right any wrongs that you have created. I am filing a grievance against you now ..

Avoid this firm at all costs.
My experience with this organization — especially with Ethan Welch — has been nothing short of alarming. What I witnessed raises serious concerns about their integrity, their transparency, and their treatment of vulnerable elderly clients whose estates they manage.
When a firm is granted guardianship or authority over an elderly person’s estate, they should act with honor and care. Instead, what I observed felt like the exact opposite. Decisions were made without proper communication, without accountability, and without any regard for the wellbeing or wishes of the family.
The handling of the estate was negligent, dismissive, and financially harmful. If this firm gains control of your parents’ or elderly loved one’s assets, you can expect delays, losses, and a complete lack of respect for both your family and your loved one’s legacy.
Ethan Welch’s actions alone warrant a full investigation.
At minimum, this firm should be audited and reviewed by the appropriate oversight bodies. Families deserve protection, not exploitation.
If you value your family, your elders, and their estate, do NOT hire this firm.
I wish someone had warned us sooner.
