My husband and I had a consultation with Adrian. We had a lot of questions about our taxes, and we left with that feeling you get when you know there’s so much to learn, but you’re in the best hands. Thank you! 🫶🏼

My experience was disappointing, they only showed interest in charging an appointment that they postponed 2 times, then the lawyer told me they gonna send me some documents to start working on the case and they never contacted again, They only charged me $200 for a virtual appointment and they never contacted me again

Absolutely Exceptional Tax Service!
I can’t say enough great things about The Miami Tax Lawyer. From start to finish, their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care made all the difference. They took the time to understand my situation, explained every detail clearly, and found deductions and strategies that no one had ever mentioned before.
What truly stood out was how approachable and responsive the team was — they made something that’s usually stressful feel simple and even empowering. I felt confident knowing everything was handled accurately and with my best interest in mind.
If you’re looking for a tax firm that combines knowledge, integrity, and outstanding customer service, this is the team you want on your side. Highly recommend them to anyone who values accuracy, transparency, and peace of mind!

Every experience for each individual is different. My experience with this law firm was not good. Communication wasn’t good. I paid over $2000 for a tax situation, and the lawyer did little to nothing to show for it. No documents of what he actually accomplished. No clear date and cost for how much the total job would’ve been. So, the 2k was ultimately a retainer- literally did nothing, and I had to cancel our agreement and I couldn’t get my money back. I’ve noticed once you pay these lawyers, the communication dramatically changes once you sign paperwork and become a client. You’d think the experience gets better. It doesn’t. Good luck- search well, and ask good questions before hiring a lawyer

What are common FBAR/FATCA compliance issues?
Common FBAR and FATCA compliance issues include failure to file, misunderstanding reporting thresholds, and misclassifying accounts or entities. FBAR issues often involve not filing due to lack of awareness, misinterpreting the $10,000 aggregate threshold, overlooking certain types of financial accounts, and neglecting to report signature authority. FATCA issues typically include failing to file Form 8938, providing incomplete or inaccurate data, misclassifying entities, and discrepancies in asset valuations. Taxpayers facing non-compliance can utilize IRS voluntary disclosure programs to mitigate penalties. For detailed guidance, refer to the official IRS FBAR and FATCA guidance pages.
What's the difference between FBAR and Form 8938 thresholds?
The primary distinction between FBAR and Form 8938 thresholds is that FBAR has a single, lower threshold for all U.S. persons, while Form 8938 has higher thresholds that vary based on tax filing status and residency. FBAR requires reporting for aggregate foreign account values exceeding $10,000 at any point during the year. Form 8938 thresholds are higher and differ for U.S. residents and those living abroad. FBAR is required even if no tax return is filed, while Form 8938 is only necessary when filing an income tax return. FBAR covers foreign financial accounts, whereas Form 8938 encompasses a broader range of foreign financial assets. For a comprehensive comparison, consult the IRS Comparison of Form 8938 and FBAR Requirements page.
What are some FBAR penalty types for noncompliance?
FBAR penalties for noncompliance are categorized based on the taxpayer's intent and are adjusted annually for inflation. For 2025, non-willful violations may result in penalties up to $16,536 per FBAR form. Willful violations can incur penalties of $165,353 or 50% of the account balance, whichever is greater, assessed per account per year. Business entities may face penalties for negligence ranging from $1,430 to $111,308. Criminal penalties for extreme noncompliance can include fines up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment. The IRS may waive penalties for reasonable cause, and amnesty programs are available for voluntary disclosure of past non-compliance.
