- TKthanh kimOct 28, 20251.0This took me almost a whole year to write. I was recommended Martinez law by a Realitor friend. Went through the process of getting back our rent and a few fees from a previous renter who left without paying and leaving my home utterly disgusting. When it came time to pay, the law firm thought it was a good idea to have the renters send money direct to them but I had to send money directly to the renters? Let's just said I paid my part, accidentally shorting them $30 and the renters and later had the nerves to tell me to pay them immediately. I was the one left short over $10k not including lawyer fees due to the fact the renters got their money and decided not to pay their part. If my money was just sent to the lawyers direct and renters sent theirs to the lawyers also we wouldn't be outed the $3k. The whole experience was a night mare. The professional way of handling these things should have been having the money go through legal, then disbursed to the correct locations. Do not recommend. I also was jungled around by probably 2-3 lawyers. Don't even know who care enough about the case to it to go the way it did.
