  Three weeks ago, Paul Thomas was simply the contact name I had on-hand of a nearby insurance broker for the MoO Long-Term Care policies my wife and I have had for 11 years each. Our original agent was long-gone, but we'd had smooth sailing during that time.... I'm 71 years old, and three weeks ago, HQs at MoO sent us a VERY confusing update that included a SIGNIFICANT premium increase to our policies. So after two aggrevating and inconclusive contacts with corporate MoO, I contacted Paul. As I understand it, LTC policies from many insurance companies go into a collective "pool". With the original agent out of the picture, commissions were no longer applicable. As a result, Paul informed me he was our agent on any MoO policies EXCEPT LTCs. For a few moments, I felt like my wife and I were, essentially, drifting without a rudder.... HOWEVER, Paul immediately stepped-up to the plate on our behalf, with ZERO financial incentive to help us. Regardless of that fact, he stated that he was the face of MoO (to us), and wanted to make sure our needs were addressed. To make a longer story short, Paul broke through the red-tape on our behalf (not easy....) and after a number of exchanges, our issues were addressed and resolved....but ONLY because of Paul's decision to intervene for us. That's character. That's integrity. I had to virtually demand an invoice for his services because from my perspective, THIS is what "customer support" is truly about! Changes to such critical policies can dramatically influence what our quality of life would be like when those times come. Paul's swift, concise and affirmative action gave us back our peace-of-mind. Mutual of Omaha should be very grateful for having such a broker in their corral.

  Mr. Thomas has been my adviser for close to ten years. One of his biggest assets is the ability to think long term. For example: He suggested that due to my spouse being 14 years younger, I needed to think about her care after I depart. I had not thought about a professional plan outside of whatever assets we had in place. He did. He manages to give professional advice while explaining in a manner the layman or woman will understand
