- SCShawn ClaytorMar 29, 20241.0I had a house fire in October and after the adjuster and there preferred contractor came out they tried to say they could fix it all for 9k so they sent me 8k due to my 1k deductible I knew this was not right and after they strung me along for so long and kept my family of five crammed in a hotel room I finally hired my own public adjuster and he was able to get Allstate to get us a rental home and now after months and no progress on my house they have finally started approving stuff which is now over 140k so a huge jump from 9k if I hadn’t hired my own adjuster Allstate would have screwed me… also before this even happen I was paying about 900 a year for home owners and it just jumped to about 1800 a year and all they tell me is that premiums have went up for everyone
