  I have paid premiums on short term disability claim with mutual of Omaha for almost 10 years and have never filed a claim . I became unable to work on August 27 2025. And filed a claim for short term disability. And all they have done is request more medical records. The person jener Jackson that they assigned on my case refuses to answer the phone you have to leave a message and she might call you back and might not. The claim has been going since August 28, 2025. And all they do is keep asking for more medical records. They assigned a representative to my claim who refuses to answer her phone you have to leave a message and she might call you back and maybe not. This is November 5,2025 and I am still waiting on a decision. I feel they sell claims in bad faith and have no intentions on paying on any claim . The records have been sent 4 times by the hospital and 1 time by me and one time by my employer. And they still are requesting more records stating they never received them. They said they had received any records and then when I mention hiring a lawyer they miraculously find that the record has been sent. I call the main office in Nebraska and they said she would call me today it is 1:00pm still no call . They sell claims in bad faith and have no intention of paying out. If you are paying for short term disability insurance with them you are throwing your money away because they have no intention of paying you if you file a claim I do not reccomed them at all go with another insurance company almost 3 months is ridiculous on covering a short term disability case. You can't even call them and get an answer. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I sent medical records 1 time and my employer sent the records and the hospital sent them 4 times still asking for more records almost 3 months after I filed my claim. They act in bad faith and have no intentions in honoring there claims. Again sueing them is a waste of your money. Put it in a bank and you will at least have it if you become disabled

  I appreciate everything Gene did to get me enrolled into my Medicare supplement insurance policy, very pleasant, attentive to details, prompt, and keeps his appointment time, contact me always in a timely manner, I know he'll be there when I call on him.
