Progressive is a 3rd of the cost for the same coverages and when I tried to cancel my Allstate policies I was told that if I did not continue to pay the Allstate policy I did not need they would report me to the local credit bureaus. This should have been a very simple process and it was a simple process when I contacted the corporate customer service line. Less than 10 minutes and everything was great and the policies were canceled. There are other Allstate agents in the area who will not threaten you when you make a choice that is your right to make. It is sad that I was forced to call Allstate corporate customer service because of the shady practices of this local agency and I suggest that if you are going to sign up for Allstate the insurance is good but just use any other agent in the area.
