  Renters Insurance Review – Our Experience with Farm Bureau & Agent Brooke Short I cannot speak highly enough about Farm Bureau and their outstanding level of customer service. I would like to specifically highlight our agent, Brooke Short, because she became our lifeline during one of the most overwhelming times of our lives. My wife and I have rented at the same location for over three years—always paid on time, respectful of the property, and never had any issues. This year, after signing our renewal as usual, we were suddenly informed that we had 30 days to vacate because the property was being sold. This came after being invited to re-sign the lease, and the timing could not have been worse. We found out: • Two days before I was scheduled to take a major licensing exam • Eight days before my wife’s insurance licensing exam • One week before our wedding and honeymoon • While both of us were already covering long hours at work due to staff shortages To say we were stressed is an understatement. We immediately began searching for a new rental in every spare moment. When we finally found the perfect place, we learned the rental company was a large national corporation with strict insurance requirements. We were exhausted, overwhelmed, and honestly unsure what they were even asking for. That’s when we called Farm Bureau—and that’s when everything shifted. Brooke Short was the calm in our storm. Before she even knew the full story of everything happening behind the scenes, she treated us with compassion, patience, and urgency. She didn’t just help us—she prioritized us. She made us feel like family, not just policyholders. Even when I couldn’t explain exactly what the rental company needed, Brooke knew how to guide us. She walked us through each requirement, updated our policy immediately, and made sure we met the tight deadlines. When the rental company requested multiple additional changes afterward, she helped us with every single one—quickly and kindly. This was our first time renting from a national property manager, and the process was confusing on top of everything else we were juggling. Brooke supported us through all of it. She reassured us, advocated for us, and ensured we had everything we needed to move forward with confidence. In a moment when everything felt chaotic and uncertain, Brooke truly made all the difference. Her dedication, kindness, and professionalism turned a nightmare situation into something we could actually manage. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you, Ms. Short. You will never know the difference you made during such a stressful time.
