- JJJillAug 5, 20251.0Contacted insurance group to ask why my homeowners policy went up $600 when I didn't file any claims . Lady I spoke to was not helpful claiming Hurricane Helene raised everyone's rates. Understandably if you file a claim but not sure why homeowners who didn't file a claim are being penalized. She could have cared less and made no attempt to rectify the situation. Basically was told to shop around which I did and found an even better policy for significantly cheaper as well as significantly cheaper rates on car insurance! I am big on customer service and will 100% give my business to someone who provides great customer service. This person did not which is sadly becoming the norm. Insurance is a scam so definitely shop around. There are places out there who care about the customer and will find you great rates!!
