  DO NOT USE YOUNG INSURANCE AGENCY! We had flood insurance through Young Insurance Agency and it jumped $600 a month with no warning! Tom said he tried to contact us beforehand but somehow didn’t have the correct address, phone number, or email on file and now it’s too late to cancel. Even though it clearly states we can cancel at any time in the policy, his sketchy business practices don’t allow us to get out of it. We’ve spoken to several other insurance agents and they also can’t even explain why it’s jumped so high. We’ve even been told to speak with a lawyer because this seems criminal, but we can’t afford that on top of our new monthly payment while we look for a new place. We literally have to MOVE TO NEW HOUSE because we can’t afford this bullshit flood policy. Again DO NOT USE YOUNG INSURANCE AGENCY!!

  Tom and his son (Travis) have been EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. Travis is quick to answer questions, and has seamlessly guided me through switching insurance providers, filing a claim, and answering any questions I have in regard to my auto and home insurance policies. Could not recommend the Young men enough!

  Tried to buy flood insurance from Neptune, a company that Young Insurance represents. Their underwriters wouldn't write the address correctly. Went back and forth between adding a 1 to indicate that it was a town home (part of a multi-unit) to trying to list it as a single family home, which it was not. Mortgage underwriters couldn't accept either and Neptune WOULD NOT simply print the address correctly. Cost me $300 more to go with another company and an extra week of being homeless as the closing was pushed back. Cost me 10 extra hours of commuting time staying out of town for an additional week & will affect my sales at work for an entire quarter from the time lost. Then I found out that they won't be processing the refund to my account for several weeks!!! Tom told me yesterday that it would be in my inbox at the same time as the new policy. Then, after I paid for the new policy, he told me that it would take SEVERAL WEEKS to process the refund!!!!! Had to pay for the new policy in the meantime. Choosing Neptune Flood Insurance was an EXPENSIVE mistake & I am not sure that I will stay with Young Insurance at all, but I can honestly say that I am glad that the policy did not go through. If this company is this astrologically horrible to deal with just in setting up the policy, how much worse would they be if I actually had to process a claim?!?!? Learned my lesson. I will review the companies this company represents before making another purchase...and I will be shopping around for a new policy as soon as the mortgage closes.
