  Associates misinform time to time, the first time, before I signed up for the insurance, they said everything is a cakewalk and I will get my beneficiary document right away, then after paying for a month, they said I need to fax the beneficiary, and the reference number should be okay on the form. After faxing, now they say they need a prefix to the reference number and fax again. This information is being said to me in three different ways by three different associates. Some of them were arrogant too. Waste of time.

  So far im loving what i see i had a mortgage protection through manulife for only 365k for over $120 a month that i will be canceling for TDs insurance

  ​Title: 5 MONTHS OF PURE NEGLIGENCE: Deliberate Claim Stall During Cancer Recovery ​We have been waiting for five agonizing months for our Critical Illness claim payment following my wife's cancer diagnosis, and the experience has been a masterclass in administrative misconduct and bad faith. ​The Obstructive Tactic: TD Life Insurance, part of one of Canada's largest banking institutions, deliberately stalled our claim for months by claiming they couldn't execute a simple electronic payment to our family doctor for the necessary medical records (the Attending Physician’s Statement). ​The Digital Hypocrisy: The level of hypocrisy is astounding. TD has zero trouble automatically withdrawing premiums from our bank account every month with perfect digital efficiency. Yet, paying a few dollars to a Canadian doctor for a crucial report somehow requires five months of manual confusion. Their digital sophistication works flawlessly for collecting money, but their process becomes incredibly slow and "manual" the moment they have to pay a benefit. ​The Shameless Excuse: Just recently, after five months, we finally received a call. Their latest excuse for the payment failure? A Canada Post strike caused the delay! It is 2025, and a multi-billion-dollar banking institution is blaming physical mail for its inability to execute a simple electronic transfer. To add insult to injury, the doctor’s office eventually agreed to send the records and wait for the payment, yet TD still failed to move the claim forward. ​Warning to Consumers: This is not poor customer service; it is negligence bordering on bad faith, deliberately exploiting our family's vulnerability during a health crisis. They are excellent at selling policies, but shockingly incompetent and evasive when it comes to fulfilling their promise. Prospective policyholders, proceed with extreme caution
