- DSDavid ShoemakerDec 10, 20252.0Insurance is one of those things we all need to have, but unfortunately my experience with Allstate has been disappointing. When everything is calm, the service seems fine. But when an actual issue comes up (water line broke within the house) and you really need their support, the response feels slow, self-centered, and far from helpful. The biggest frustration is the payout process. What Allstate consider “coverage” barely scratches the surface of the real cost to replace what was lost. It feels like the policy promises one thing, but the company delivers something much smaller when it actually matters. Overall, I’m not saying they’re the worst, but I expected a lot more fairness and follow-through, especially considering how much we pay for insurance in the first place, year after year.
