One pretty serious disappointment was that I discovered after the fact that the quote I had been given included a discount given for using the Allstate Tracking AP which I had no intention of using- so after I opted out my bill went up about 15 percent. It was still lower than my previous insurance, but I find this practice deceptive. If you are switching to Allstate make sure to ask them to show you the real price, not quote you for a discount you will not get.

Then through unfortunate events I have 2 accidents very close together in time, only 1 was my fault. So I receive a corporate policy letter that I've been "booted" from their coverage. No review or recourse. With all the other insurance companies advertising in the mail and on TV constantly you would think they would be happy to reconsider and keep a longtime customer. I guess when it comes to taking your money Allstate loves you but when they have to pay out you no longer matter to the corporate.
