    I switched over from State Farm in September due to several issues, and so far I couldn’t be more pleased with the excellent customer service I’ve received from Farm Bureau Louisiana.

    I had auto insurance with FB for a little over a year. My last renewal warranted a decrease in my premium and instead it was increased nearly $100 with no accidents nor any violations at all. I found a better rate and canceled my policy with FB 8/16/2025. I informed them that I had moved and gave them my new address to be sure it was mailed correctly. I called 3 days later to make sure I gave them the correct apartment number and was told that I did and that it would 100% be shipped to my new address. I was told I would receive my refund within the next 10-15 business days. On the literal 15th business day following, I got an email that the check was JUST mailed out. That truly angered me but I left it alone and practiced patience. Well, another 15 business days later, still no check. I called to get an update and was told that it was delivered to my old address anyway :). At this point is has been exactly a month that I have waited for this check. I was told to call the direct location of where I was insured to get them to do a stop payment in order for the funds to be resent. When I called, I prompted to speak with the general receptionist. It's always the same rude, older woman that answers. I informed her that I had double checked with them and they still sent my check to the wrong address. I asked her to give me a call back about options for the funds because I DID NOT want to risk it being shipped to the wrong address again. She told me she'd make sure I got a call back, very rude nastily I might add, and the next day I got an email stating the check was shipped out again. At this point, it feels like I am purposely being sabotaged. Of course another 15 days passed and I still have not received a check. I actually didn't even call this time because I'm ready to just dispute with my bank instead of dealing with these people's incompetency. Low and behold, I receive a call from the Baton Rouge office stating they received my check and have no idea why. They also didn't know that this was my second check that had been mishandled. The lady told me she would call and see what was going on. She never called back so I decided to call her back two days later and was told it would be reshipped for the THIRD time!!!! I asked to pick it up instead because it is WRONG to have someone waiting this long on funds owed!!!! I was told it was too late and it had already been shipped out. I was told this on Thursda, October 2nd. I live 30 minutes from the state office. In what world would it take 3 days to receive a letter in the mail from 30 minutes away? These people are terrible to work with and communicate with and I would never recommend anyone do business with them again. Today is October 6th by the way. I canceled 8/16/2025, and have not received money owed yet. It is 10 days shy of being two whole months that I've waited.
