I was told by the Rep who came to my job that if I decided to cancel my policy that I would get all my money back. Well that was a lie. I have been paying 138.00 out of each check for years. An got back 152.00 off one policy. An then 25.00 off another. An still waiting for my last one. Washington National is a joke/scam!!! I would avoid at all cost.

Wish I could leave ZERO stars. Somehow got connected to an agent from this company through customer service from insurance marketplace for our state when attempting to add our newborn daughter to an already existing policy (NOT EVEN FROM THIS COMPANY)…next thing I know we have a charge on our credit card account and get new policy info in the mail from Washington National. Scammer agent signed us up for an accident policy we never wanted or needed, charged us, and took us hours of back and forth to get canceled. This company is a scam!!

After my husband died LAST year i called and cancelled his insurance. I was not on the policy. They automatically put my name on the policy without telling me and continued to bill his bank account. I asked several times to cancel this account and called them repeatedly and was told they would take me off the policy. Well, it is October and I am still being billed. I called again today and was assured it would be cancelled. Nine months of this aggravation and total incompetence. Unbelievable!

If we could leave a zero star it would be appropriate. We have a cancer policy and found out in July I have lung cancer. Filed a claim and was told they need 5 years of medical records from my primary doctor, they’ve sent the request to a hospital I’ve never been too. Finally went to doctors office and they are requesting hospital records from them. Now as we spoke with an agent today we have 15 days and the claim will be closed and if the 5 years of documentation is sent then it could take up to 90 more days to look at the claim. We’ve had another insurance policy and my wife had a heart attack and that claim was paid within a week. These people are a total scam. I’ll be reaching out to the insurance commissioner of our state today.

They stole money from me. When I asked them where the money they issued to me was, they claimed it was sent to a banking account that didn't belong to me. I called back, and they claimed that they mailed the check to my address. A week later, I called back, and they said they would reissue a check. However, as of today, I still haven't received any money, so I've closed all my accounts. I was paying them over $4,100 a year, and the only time I claimed with them was last year and this year, totaling no more than $1,200.00 in the 4 years I was with them. I just canceled my account, and until this day, they have never told me what happened to the $150.00 that they issued to me. I would like to know which account they deposited my money into. I told them the account wasn't mine, and I wanted to see my bank account information, but I still haven't received anything. I reported them to the BBB.
