  worst insurance company on the planet. Made a claim because there was water staining on the ceiling after hurricane ian. Insurance adjuster came out and did a roof inspection after getting the roof inspected by a roofing company at the request of them. Roofing company did the inspection and said roof was fine. Provided that documentation to adjuster. Adjuster did inspection and said everything was fine and there was no damage. Insurance company sends me a letter saying that my policy will be canceled due to unrepaired damage. Adjuster apparently noted in his report that there was some grain loss and some staining on roof while telling me that everything was fine and no repairs were needed. They are now canceling my policy after deliberately lying to me and withholding information from me in order to cancel the policy. Use another company like nationwide.

  I have been with this company for 5 years and everything was fine until this past April in which there was a miscommunication and my policy cancelled. They say that an e-mail was sent, I never received it and when I asked to resend they say they couldn’t. Why can’t they send that e-mail? I only received an e-mail that my policy was coming up for renewal and per my conversation with an agent that the pictures regarding some concerns with the insurance company that I sent were fine. My point is that the way they handled everything was unprofessional and they directed me to another agency which they have found a policy for me, but because of the lapse of insurance I have been penalized around $400. I have gone through all my e-mail and voice mail messages which I keep everything and I haven’t received anything saying that it was cancelled only that the policy was coming up for renewal. I will never use them again because the way they handled everything was not right. Maybe the miscommunication occurred because when you call the local number you get redirected to headquarters and the communication did not go through and also the agent that I worked with was no longer there.

  I moved here in 2015 and bought a home in Ft. Myers. I used Brightway because they are very personable and helpful. I was used to small town relations with my insurance company and Brightway provides that. They always have your best interests in mind. I would highly recommend them.
