  I went in to the ER after a hit and run accident. In the waiting room of the ER a man was masturbafing in the waiting room. Security wouldn't do anything about it for an hour and a half. They took xrays, I informed them that It felt like a screw from a past back surgery was loose. The staff assured me that "all my screws were in place." This was in May. It is now November and my GI ordered an ultrasound of my abdomen. Turns out the screw IS lose and is digging into my spine. 6 months of horrendous pain and all they have done is treat me like a dog. I bring my ESA with on the days I cant stand. They get happy about that but dont care about the patient.

  I’ve had a really good experience, as a new member of Denver Health Medical Plan. I needed an MRI recently and the out-of-pocket cost was very affordable. I also really like using MyChart. It’s easy to review my test results and the messages from staff regarding scheduling were really helpful and made the process smooth. Overall, the coverage and convenience have been great.

  I have been a member of Denver Health Medical plan for almost 12 years and have consistently been impressed with the coverage/plan offerings (at low, reasonable cost) and quality of care (best medicine practices). Over the course of 12 years, I've only had a couple of billing issues and was able to resolve them quickly by working with member services. I would recommend DHMP to anyone looking for a local, community-based health plan that is rooted in commitment to quality and service.

  I will be finding new insurance on the Colorado option since Denver Health medical plan and Denver Health medical care continue to make healthcare more expensive and take advantage of their patients to help with their budget problems. I would rather pay a higher premium than have insurance that only covers preventative care. Have health issues and need to see a specialist or have any type of test? It won't be covered until you reach your very high deductible. It's sad voters, including myself, voted to give them more funding and they still choose to abuse the use of facility fees to charge patients twice for the same service, so not only is Denver Health insurance not covering the cost of your care, but you now have to pay double because you went to Denver Health providers! They should find another way to fix their budget problems without financially abusing their patients.

  Never had insurance issues in my life until getting DHMP. Battled with them for a year to correct claims, which they finally fixed (the only reason they got a 2nd star). They stopped covering my kids' doctor without notice, paid for one child but not the other. Didn't cover their vaccines. It was a nightmare. I lost hours of my life that I will never get back between the calls made to the pediatrician and DHMP. Now being forced to use Denver Health providers which hasn't really gotten any better but for different reasons.
