- JRJ RockersAug 2, 20251.0Farm bureau increased my rate from 2,029 to 3,750 in one year! So ridiculous...I'm sorry but a insurance company should not be allowed to increase anyone's policy that much in one year. I honestly wasn't paying attention to my paperwork and it renewed. I happened to notice the increase when my mortgage went up 400 dollars a month to cover escrow. I called my agent to ask a few questions. It took him about a week to call me back. That really made me upset! But I definitely paid attention this year, as they raised my rate again. I found a policy with a new company that covers more then my original policy at farm bureau for 2,100! The moral of this story is pay attention people, these insurance companies can take advantage of you if your not paying attention!! Look over your paperwork every year. And switch if they want to take advantage. I'm grateful I did my homework and found a better policy then what I was paying for at Farm Bureau
