The Farm Bureau insurance companies* were formed by a group of Farm Bureau Federation leaders across various states. These leaders shared a vision for providing better service to their members, including lower insurance rates. - JPJordan PorterNov 5, 20231.0Growing up in the small town of Augusta, AR I remember getting put on my parents car insurance with Farm Bureau when I was old enough to get my permit. Needless to say, I have been with Farm Bureau going on 18 years now. Everything has been smooth until 10/23/23 when I decided to cancel my insurance with them. I found a way better deal that I couldn't pass up. I spoke with Pam who informed me that she would take care of the cancellation. The sole reason for me cancelling on the 23rd was to avoid getting charged for my normal monthly payment that comes out at the end of every month. The end of the month comes and they still withdrawal full amount so i call them again to find out what's going on. They then inform me that the cancellation was never put into process and that only a note was left for Bobby to take care of it whenever he got back from vacation. I then spoke with John who stated he would take care of the issue and get in contact with their billing department. A few days pass, and I still don't get any sort of updates or feedback on the resolution. So, my mother decides to call them and Pam tells her that it's going to take a while to go through LR system and that she would keep an eye on it and keep us posted. Now I'm out $400 because of their mistake, and there's no telling when I'll see that money again which completely messes up my normal budget for bills that are due the first of the month. It just comes off that due to me wanting to cancel they put me on the back burner which caused this whole situation. I will never ever recommend Farm Bureau to anyone. Throughout the whole time I was with them I paid my monthly payments on time every month. In the scheme of things I was taking care of them but in no way shape or form did they take care of me when I decided to cancel. I now pay $140 less monthly for the same policies plus more discounts so if yall need a better monthly deal they are definitely available.
