I called David Norris office to ask why was my policy being canceled and after paying $300 back in June. Unfortunately, the office manager couldn’t help me and decided to tell me she wasn’t going to argue with me and I needed to pay $122.50 to reinstate my policy. She then gets smart with me and asks me what was half of $684 after I told her that I pay my policy in June and December. I told her that I pay bi-annually because I have always paid that way since having them for close to 15 years. She tells me that it was BOP policy that businesses pay either twice a year or in full. I simply asked her read the policy to me and she stated that the lady told her that over the phone. So, I called corporate and they said that is not true and businesses pay how they want to and they have no control over how we pay they just send the bill. Corporate also found my check in the system and saw a note from Norris’s office to stop payment on the check at owner’s request. I never called them to put a stop payment on my check. My bank also informed me that the office had received my check. They were on the phone with me talking to them ready to give them the check and trace number.
Apparently, it was the office’s decision to make me pay my premium in full instead of installments. Because the office manager stated that I was going to be billed $122.50 until my premium was met. Unfortunately, I just found out that Kipp Lowe doesn’t operate this office anymore after asking to speak with him. They bought the company back in May 2023 with absolutely no notice from them. I then asked for David Norris and I was told he was in a meeting, I’m yet to receive a call from him to clear up this matter. I will be taking my business insurance to another agency. The transfer of agencies were unpolished and very unprofessional.
