  I’m writing this quick note to let you know that an agent for you, Anna-Lee Hulse, was amazing in aiding with my previous policy. Her kindness cannot go without mentioning, which I feel is lacking today. I can tell you her professionalism in taking care of myself was above reproach. I honestly felt that being a previous customer gathering old documentation was going to be at best lengthy and haphazard, boy was I mistaken! Anna was “Johnny on the spot”, not just once but twice in the past two days as I’m dealing with a claim through another company. I would like to mention this to you as I feel customer service is the number one thing I look for when working with businesses. It has been a pleasure working with your team in Wasilla, Alaska and makes me wonder if I made the right choice switching.   Called the Wasilla Gieco Office, was sent to 4 agents who all said “The next agent you talk to can write a policy for you” then each agent I talked to took my information, then told me they cannot write a policy in Alaska. Pretty sketchy and poorly handled. Definitely canceling the policy I’ve had with Gieco for over the past year.

  Unfortunately, I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with GEICO. I have documentation showing that I reached out over 10 times trying to resolve an issue where they overcharged me by applying a higher premium due to someone who should’ve been removed from my policy. I provided proof that this individual was no longer on the policy, including their separate insurance information, yet GEICO continued to charge me as if they were still covered. Even after canceling my service, they are now back-charging me for that inflated premium—without properly acknowledging the evidence I submitted or the timeline in which the changes should have taken effect. The customer service has been disappointing and unhelpful throughout this process. I had high hopes, but this experience has been incredibly stressful. I do not recommend GEICO.

  These gieco agents are angels. After i was hacked online and couldn't pay with my card i had no choice but to go to them for assistance. Thank you, local Wasilla agents for helping me in my time of despair and walking me through it.

  Absolutely horrible. I’ve been with GEICO for over 8 years here in AK and I had them in Oahu both as an adult and since I was a kid on my folks plan. Every year the rates kept going up and up. I have had a clean driving record for decades and not one claim on my home, but they upped my rates anyway and blamed it on “inflation”. It got so bad that the joint coverage didn’t make sense anymore and I switched my car insurance to Progressive at nearly half the price for the same coverage a couple years ago. I only kept my home insurance with GEICO because they lowered my rate and wrote me a check to stay. The very next year they upped my rate another $185 for no reason at all. “Inflation” again. I guess we have 9% inflation, they raise the rate 23.5%! This year they raised my home insurance price another $1,229!!! No exaggeration. It nearly tripled in price. I called in thinking this must be a mistake. No claims, no damage, no changes to my property. These predatory pigs just gouged me. And to top it off the agent was super rude, could care less and told me, “A lot of people’s rates went up. It’s just the economy now.” That’s it. Oh, and I can raise my deductible to “get some savings”. I had to hang up. I was disgusted. Ireceived a couple quotes today from other agencies for a fraction of the price. Needless to say, after several decades of various policies with GougeCo, I’m done. I’ll be sure to inform everyone I know. Hopefully everyone will ditch you and when you crumble, WE won’t bail you out.
