I brought my Stihl chainsaw into this shop in April, 2025 because it wouldn’t start. I had not used it for a while. They said they replaced the fuel filter and put fresh gas in it, and perhaps some other things. I can’t remember everything they said they did. They charged me $98.28. The invoice doesn’t describe anything they did. That should have been a huge red flag to me but for some reason I didn’t pick up on it. I brought it home but didn’t use it for several months. I don’t give it a whole lot of use. In the fall I wanted to use it and it started right up. However, at high RPMs it spit fuel all over my hand. It soaked my hand. It had never done this before. So it had a new problem after they serviced it. I brought it back. They looked at it and said they could find nothing wrong with it and asked me for the symptoms again. I told them. They finally replaced the fuel line and I had to pay for that as well. They charged me $81.70. Again, their invoice didn’t describe what they did. I still don’t know how I missed that. It should have told me something was not right. (They later told me that they replaced the fuel line because “they didn't know what else to do about the problem”—so they did work that was not necessary and charged me for it, apparently). At any rate, I brought it home after the second time and it wouldn't start. I brought it right back and they confirmed that it would not start. So, after the second time they serviced it, it still didn’t work. They kept it for another week or two, then called and told me that there was sand in the carburetor, so the carburetor needed to be replaced. They also told me that the exhaust side of the cylinder was scratched. They gave me an estimate of approximately $850 to fix the chainsaw. I told them to do nothing. I just didn’t trust them anymore. After the first time I brought the chainsaw in, it did not work properly, and after the second and third time, it did not work at all. It would not even start. They claimed they had it running before I picked it up after the second visit, I don't know. When I picked it up the last time, I asked them how sand got into the carburetor. I hadn't used it for many, many months. They said it was operated without an air filter. This was clearly a lie. I replaced the air filter in 2024. Here is the worst part. I can buy a brand new, virtually identical chainsaw for $620. They never said a word about the $850 being far more than the cost of a new saw. This clearly demonstrates to me that they care far less about their customers than they do for themselves. Don’t go to this shop. Instead, I suggest you go to Middleton Power Center.

It became time to retire my old Toro single stage snow blower so I went shopping for a new two stage blower. Both Bob and Josh were very helpful explaining both the Ariens and Ego snow blowers. I walked out after purchasing a new Ariens 24" deluxe and cannot wait to try it out on the next snow storm. (unfortunately missed the early Sunday morning cleanup as the blower will be delivered Monday. :-(.

Everything went smooth. It was a busy day and I knew they didn't have a lot of time for questions. I called them and left a message. No one called back. That was a little disappointing
