Matt's Appliance Services is the only listed technician certified to work on Sub Zeros in my area. It is because of this that I hired them, first through a warranty company, then on my own. Matt spent over a year and thousands of dollars "fixing" my fridge, although he never successfully fixed it. I was convinced that the fridge was beyond repair, and was considering throwing away a $15,000 fridge, when I reached out to another technician who normally works outside of my area. He came and immediately and correctly diagnosed the problem, showing me places where Matt had damaged my fridge through his work. He fixed the entire fridge in 4 hours, and encouraged me to figure out exactly what work was done by Matt, as he thought Matt might have charged me money for a part that he received from Sub Zero for free. Matt has since stopped responding to all of my communications, even though he doesn't know that I am trying to contact him for a refund. In addition to his incompetence and bad business practices, he frequently didn't show up, would show up, ring the doorbell, then immediately run out to his truck and drive away to avoid working, and overall was one of the worst contractors I have ever worked with.

It’s unfortunate I can’t give this company 0 stars because google doesn’t allow it. A requirement of 1 star is giving them WAY too much credit. Matt’s appliance has been out to our house 4 times as they were hired by kitchenaid to fix our fridge. After never fixing our fridge, kitchenaid sent them a new fridge to be installed (which they never contacted us to deliver or install). I called them myself daily to get an update. They pushed me off for a week saying they needed a “manager” to approve it. Once the manager was supposed to be in office they once again didn’t answer the phone or contact us because they wouldn’t accept a 200% install payout from kitchenaid. To sum it up - they actually can’t even diagnose or fix the most basic of appliances, they’re CHEAP, and they don’t answer the phone nor will they contact you. Don’t waste your time with this company. And if you’re in a similar boat as us and need an appliance fixed, fight to use a different company because ultimately you’ll be wasting your time with Matt’s appliance and will still have to hire another company to do the job anyway.

Please do not do business with Matt’s Appliances. They had to come to my home multiple times to fix my ice maker. Multiple parts were needlessly replaced which did not fix the issue. Finally, after contacting Whirlpool the correct part was replaced at over $500. The part last 4 months and failed again. They came to replace the failed part and then sent me a bill for $110 for a diagnostic fee. There was no diagnosis, they had already ordered and brought the replacement part. The part swap took 3 minutes. When I called to question the fee, I was repeatedly told to “hold on”. I was then told the fee is the service fee and they only have a 30 day warranty on their labor. I asked where this policy is written and the owner, Matt, told me that it is an “unwritten policy”. I asked if they would have given me the part so that I could have avoided the service call and they refused that as well. So I bought a part, that failed under warranty and the only way I can get the replacement that I am entitled to is by paying these crooks another $110 for literally three minutes of work. Please avoid this company at all costs and take your business elsewhere.
UPDATE: The replacement part failed again. I was then told that I needed to replace the control board in the rear of the refrigerator. I paid another $300+ for that part. To his credit, Matt came out well past regular business hours to replace the parts.
