  We planned to do a major project in our backyard but waited a few years until we were sure we were hiring the right firm to do the work. After carefully evaluating the work of the major firms in the area, we decided that only Black Pearl could achieve the high quality level we were seeking. They built a new patio and retaining wall in our backyard, added an extension to our existing patio, regraded the yard to address some drainage issues, installed lighting in the back and front yards, added a stone pathway through the grass, and re-landscaped the backyard with extensive new plantings. They recommended a landscape designer, Joey Hafner from Live Outdoor Landscapes, to come up with the plan. He did an outstanding job. Then, Black Pearl executed the plan beautifully and brought it to life. We could not be more pleased and would give them the highest positive recommendation. They are a bit more expensive than the alternatives — and worth every bit of it. You will get a premium product.

  Kohler and the team were easy to deal with and their pricing was competitive. Most important they communicated very well throughout the project. They set a schedule and kept to it. I highly recommend them.

  This is a great company! They did a bunch of homes in Lakeside, and it looks wonderful!

  We are very happy with the drainage system and the new plantings. All looks great and does what it is supposed to. On time and on budget.
