Putting God’s love into action by bringing people together building homes and hope.
Dorchester Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1993 by a small group of individuals and local churches dedicated to addressing Dorchester County’s need for affordable and decent housing. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, the chapter is able to provide low-income families the chance to own a home through the Construction and Homeowner programs.
Dorchester Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical housing ministry with the mission of “Putting God’s Love into Action by Bringing People Together Building Homes and Hope.” To-date, 63 homes have been built benefiting more than 180 residents of Dorchester County.
