The worst customer service experience. Two of my neighbors use this company, and since their technician comes weekly, I thought I would hire them as well. I had no idea they apparently do not care about gaining new business. I have personally maintained my pool for over 5 years after firing another crooked company, Pinch A Penny. Recently, due to unexpected personal obligations, I decided it was finally time to hire a professional pool service. Before handing over the pool, I made sure it was already in great condition. I cleaned it thoroughly and then contacted Clear Tech for routine maintenance service. Right away, they took my credit card information and told me someone would contact me shortly to schedule service. Nearly a week passed with no communication. Then suddenly I received an email asking me to send pictures of the pool. I was surprised because their technician is literally in my neighborhood every week and could easily inspect the pool in person. I sent the requested pictures anyway, only to be told there would be a $300 “cleaning fee.” Assessment of pool chemistry and water condition through pictures? Really? I called the company and explained that the pool did not need a cleanup — only routine maintenance. The representative simply said there was nothing she could do. Today, I saw one of their technicians outside my home (see pictures). I politely asked if he could quickly look at the pool in person and report back to the office that the pool was already clean. The technician, whose name was Alex, responded: “My boss gives me a QR code, I go and clean. I’m not allowed to look at your pool unless my boss tells me to. All I can do is give you a business card.” During this interaction, he was also vaping inside the company vehicle, which did not leave a very professional impression. Note while writing this review he is still in truck! Texting but he did not 2 minutes to walk to the back and give a feedback on behalf of his company! Wow! Before I get a response from management accusing me of exaggerating or making things up — which unfortunately seems common with companies that operate this way — let me post the pictures publicly: • The current condition of my pool • The company truck still standing in front of my house (2 picture) • The business card Mr. Alex gave me You be the judge: Does this pool really need a $300 chemical treatment just to qualify for regular maintenance service? If this is truly their approach to customer service and gaining new customers, I honestly do not understand how they are still in business. Main issues with this company: 1. They took my credit card information before providing accurate service details or expectations. 2. They rely solely on pictures instead of offering basic courtesy inspections for potential customers. 3. Communication is extremely slow and unreliable — responses take nearly a week. 4. The field staff showed zero interest in helping or bringing in new business, which suggests either poor employee training or a company culture that simply does not value customers. Very disappointing experience.

Absolutely horrible company. This is now the fifth time they’ve marked on their service sheet that they added two chlorine tablets, and nothing was actually provided. I’ve reached out multiple times and have been completely ignored. Being charged for products and services that were never delivered, while they claim otherwise on the invoice, is unacceptable. At this point, I will be canceling service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Tim from Clear Tech Pools carefully located and repaired leaks that he found at the bottom of the pool’s skimmer. He then patiently and thoroughly checked everything again until he was satisfied that he had stopped the leak. He arrived when he was scheduled and even returned the next day to be sure some water he had seen that was puddled near the pump and filter, wasn’t another leak. We’ve used Clear Tech Pools to maintain our pool for years. I could not recommend them more highly.

We have had our fair share of pool services over the years and our fair share of pool cleaners. I just wanted to take a moment to mention Jeff with Cleartec as a stand out character and technician. I will always take a moment to go out and say hello when I am aware he is on our property. I appreciate his work and communication. Kudos Jeff!

I would like to share my horrible experience with this company to save anyone from choosing them to install a pool. We were connected with a designer (Tom) who was nice to deal with but after that it all fell apart! We signed our contract on July the 4 of 2025 after our design choices were made we went to permitting. They use an outside company so we thought this was all to help speed things up. Bad assumption on our part. All that means is that the lead on our job (if you could call him that because he was never here) would make FaceTime calls to get different stages “passed” without so much as a single visit from an inspector. The permit took approximately 4 months to go through the city. I was called and informed that we would have a pre-construction on a Thursday. There was no meeting they just showed up with heavy equipment and started digging. I didn’t complain because we had been waiting so long. There was no oversight throughout the process except what was done by me. A different crew showed up all the time which I get because they are specific to a particular craft. Every one of the workers were urinating on my house on the side. Had I known I would have gladly paid for a Johnny on the spot! The side of my house smelled like an out house anyway! The tile work in the pool looks as if it were done by a third grade child and it looks like they chewed the tile where they had to make cuts. The patio they installed is not level and there was hardly any sand placed between the cracks they didn’t compact tile patio after the install either. There was so much trash all over the job site all the time. They ruined my brand new sod in the front yard and my landscaping now has weeds growing everywhere despite the fact that I had weed barrier installed to prevent this because the discharge from the pumps that had to pump away ground water were placed directly in our new landscaping and filled it with sand on top of my brand new rock and weed barrier. I repeatedly asked for more sand for the patio, for a person to show me how to work the equipment, and for the letter to send to the city for credit to my bill for filling the pool with no response! Just when you think you have made it past the bad part, then they are responsible for the chemical up keep for six months. They show up once a week do not do a third of the things they tell you they did and do not leave the chemicals balanced at all. I feel sorry for the people that are paying for this service because they are not doing what they tell you they are. I check my chemicals right before they come just so I know where they are and now have to be here to ask them to add acid for the sky high ph! Every week he writes down a range number for the ph, chlorine and alkalinity but he has not once taken an alkalinity sample because I watch him. Or most times they say the water is perfect and it is far from it. If my salt cell doesn’t last at least 5 years I will expect them to replace it free of charge because my ph is never in range unless I add acid myself! I have complained to the owner with no solutions to any of my issues. This was an overall very bad experience and if you are at all thinking of hiring this company I would look elsewhere!!!!
