- CHCathryne Hamsher5 days ago1.0We spent over $5000 in cash on couches over a month ago and they have yet to be delivered. They gave us a delivery date while we were in the store and then called a week ago to tell us it was pushed out two more weeks - for reasons no one in the store seems to know about. First we were told they didn't have a delivery team (you can come get them yourselves, they said! AKA: meaning we would have to rent a Uhaul and do all the lifting ourselves when delivery was included in the sale). Next we were told they're backordered - but a "manager" found a set in Henrietta (literally 20 minutes away from this store) and will call us in the morning with an update. We already removed all of our furniture in anticipation for this delivery and now we have nowhere for people to sit in our home when we host Thanksgiving next week. Multiple "managers" at this store have promised to make this right and ensure they will call us back, which not one has actually followed through on. So every day I am forced to call again to see if there are any updates, and I'm forced to go through their phone system and then I have to start over with someone new each time. And my most recent call: the manager just went home and there are no notes from him! We are tempted to cancel the order and look elsewhere at this point. We will NEVER purchase from Value City again. We've bought several furniture sets from them over the last decade and even referred others to them. Absolutely disgusted and done with this store. Save your sanity and look elsewhere.
- MIMichael IncardonaNov 12, 20251.0I purchased a sofa, loveseat, and rocker chair with cash on 08/16/25 from Timothy Case in the Greece NY Value City Furniture store and was just informed on 11/12/25 that the rocker chair has been discontinued and will be refunded. I only found this out after I contacted them because I had not heard from them regarding the delayed delivery date that was supposed to be on 11/13/25. So I did some research on my order online and found that they delayed my delivery date again to 11/21/25 and then again to 01/2026 without contacting me. So that's when I reached out and was informed that something I paid for in advance 3 months ago was not going to be delivered. Literal bait and switch. Only buy from this place if you are poor and can't afford to pay cash for good service and will put up with poor service because they are financing your order for profit.

We found a second piece of furniture thanks to him. He had no guarantee that we would buy, and led us around the entire store. He made sure to point out deals, and encouraged us to try out everything we wanted to.

What a Great lady! Easy and wonderful to work with and she makes sure your needs are met. Makes certain the customer is happy/content with the purchase they are making.
