  This is a scam. At the time of purchase, I paid for an additional furniture protection plan which was represented as providing repair or service coverage for damage or issues with the furniture. Recently, when I needed to use the protection plan, I filed a claim through the appropriate claim process. However, despite submitting the claim and following the required procedures, I have not received any response or assistance regarding my claim. I have attempted to resolve the issue directly with Raymour & Flanigan and the protection plan claim process, but my claim has not been addressed and there has been no meaningful communication or resolution.

  I purchased a sofa from the Raymour & Flanigan store located at 440 NJ-440 in Jersey City, New Jersey for over $3,000 that was delivered to my home on March 1, 2026. Unfortunately, within minutes of the delivery team leaving, we discovered several issues with the furniture. The arm of the sofa had a cut that appears to have been caused during the unpacking process, two cooling console units are not functioning (they do not charge and the opening mechanism does not work), and the middle seat delivered was not the recliner configuration listed on my order. I attempted to contact the delivery team immediately after they left and called the delivery support number the same day but was unable to reach anyone. On March 2, I went to the store in person because I could not reach anyone by phone. I spoke with the store manager, Amro Elhelw, who initially informed me that the furniture would be replaced and that I should wait for a call to schedule replacement delivery and pickup. After several days without any follow-up, I finally spoke with the manager again and was then informed that the process requires scheduling an appointment for someone to come to my home to inspect the sofa first before any decision is made. Given that the issues are very clear — the wrong seat was delivered, there is a cut on the arm from unpacking, and the cooling console features are not functioning — it is frustrating to be told that I must wait for an inspection and then another decision after already waiting over a month for delivery. At this point, the situation has become unnecessarily inconvenient and time-consuming. I expected to receive a new, fully functioning product, not manage multiple appointments and delays for something that was delivered damaged and incorrect. For that reason, I have requested cancellation of the order, pickup of the sofa, and a full refund rather than continuing through a lengthy process. I hope the company resolves this matter promptly.
