  We came into Value City Novi location feeling very upset and ready to return my mother entire order after few issues, but that completely changed once this lovely lady came up to service counter Alma the store manager. From the moment she greeted us she was truly focused on helping us. She listened carefully to everything I explained and made sure I felt heard and respected. What really stood out to us was that she was helping another customer at the same time yet nobody felt left out for even a minute ( and we made a comment about it right there and then because you dont see anymore this kind customer service unfortunatelly) She balanced everything with such a profesionalism and kindness as well respectfull aproach toward the employee who was assisting without pressuring her at all but helping. You can tell she leads by example and values her team which was really pleasant to see. She quickly found a solution to the issue and even followed up afterward to make sure everything was resolved. We walked in frustrated but left completely satisfied and genuinely impressed. We will definitely keep shopping with them and will reccomend Novi location to friends and family. She truly turned our whole experience around and we are coming back with my sister week of Black Friday asking for you Alma !!!

  I'm helping my friend (Sue A)do this review she worked with ash. She was amazing if I could give her 10 stars I would with her interior design background she matched everything perfectly. She ordered all the colors that match perfectly and when I picked out a color that wouldn't match she directed me to something that would look perfect the company is very lucky to have her and should keep her for many years to come.

  I want to say that I went to the Novi area I want to Gardner White Bob’s furniture, Ashly furniture and value city I was approached by pesky furniture sales people that gave me no space to make a decision! I had gone to value city and I met Ash and she was very patient and she knew my dimensions and told me what would work and wouldn’t work in my space! I was undecided, as if I should special order a color and go with a certain rug. She took all her time and patience, even though she had other customers that she was working with, she is very talented and she knows of quality on the furniture and steered me in the right direction. I give her five stars and above.! I will never go to another furniture store and I will go back again and ask for Ash because from a designer standpoint, I not only got beautiful furniture, but I got somebody that helped me pick what was going to go with my vibe😊 if you go to value city ask for her, you will not regret it!

  I bought a bunk bed at the end of June at the Ann Arbor store. It was delivered in July and one part was damaged during the assembly process. They also didn't assemble the ladder properly. A few weeks later someone came to assess the issues. He determined that a part of the bed needed to be replaced. Fast forward to three months later (and after numerous phone calls and frustration) the part finally arrived. The single star is for Tom...the only person that appeared honest and did his job properly. I will not purchase any additional furniture from this company.

  I needed to replace my sofa ( I've had it since 1996! It was still comfortable, but the throws I had used, didn't do much for the appearance. I also had a lovely wicker loveseat, but one of the legs were ready to break). I had a limited budget to work with. I called Value City and a sales person by the name of Ash came to the phone. That was the beginning of a wonderful experience! I met Ash the next day. She had done some research based on my needs and our conversation. She took her time abd showed me various options. She never pressured me or rushed me. That was a pleasant surprise and I appreciated that. She listened to me! We found something that I really liked and that fit my budget. She went through process with me regarding payment or payment plans and the delivery process if I was not able to have the furniture delivered. I had sent Ash pictures of my livingroom because I was concerned about the placement of the couch. She took the time to draw and send me sketches of my options. Ash even took the time to give me input on a chair I had found at another store! She didn't have to do that, but she did. She even brought me treats from a recent Hindu festival. We talked about food our cats, how she would adjust to the cold weather. She is even going to come for dinner after things settle down at my house. As was very professional, patient and, I might add ,very sweet. I sincerely felt like she genuinely cared about my needs. Ash went above and beyond! I had a great experience working with her.
