Had a great experience. Garrett was awesome, he understood my needs and what I was looking for. He made his recommendation with no sales pressures at all. I ended up buying a Toro snow thrower.

These guys are fantastic. When we called, they provided a full breakdown of costs for services that we were going to need for the service of our snowblower. We opted for the pickup and delivery service that they offer. They came when promised, and the snowblower was returned to us quickly. Can’t recommend them enough.

My female neighbor had her 4-5ish year old Ariens Deluxe 24 brought in because she couldn’t start it last year. Guess she shoveled. Wouldn’t start this year. She arranged to get it tuned up. I was talking to her last week, she said Boston Lawnmower said it would cost her $600, she needed a new auger bearing because it was rattling, loud and needed a drive belt. I assume they were to get it running too.
I told her that is a ridiculous price, bring it home and let me look at it.
Wheeled it over and looked at it. Tried to start it but it didn’t even sputter. Opened gas cap, very little YELLOW/ORANGE gas, obviously old gas. Siphoned out about a cup of junk gas and put in new and the machine fired right up and runs fine. I turned it off/on multiple times without issue.
Turned the auger on, absolutely nothing wrong. The machine has zero rattle or loud noise aside from what a snowblower sounds like when running. Didn’t check the belt as I wasn’t in the mood. It was obvious nothing had been tested on this machine as to test it they needed to start it and it wouldn’t without good gas.
So, I get the feeling they were just looking for a $600 payday when in reality all it needed was a $2.00 tank of gas.
I still had a couple inches of crusty snow in my yard and I blew all away slick as a bean just to make sure under a load it was ok. No rattling and loud bearing noise at all.
I feel this is a very sad situation of taking advantage of a person who trusts a company to offer good honest service and not rip people off.

I’ve bought lots of power tools and small equipment from Boston Lawnmower for my landscaping business and have been happy until now, I recently brought a push mower that was purchased a few months ago in for warranty and they denied to repair it claiming it had been run over by something, it absolutely has not the entire front end is plastic and would’ve been destroyed. They quoted me more than half the price of the mower to repair it. I’ll be taking my business to another mower shop which is unfortunate as the parts and sales staff are great but don’t trust the service department to stand by the products they sell.
