My husband and I recently went into the Richmond, KY store to select furniture for our living room. The sales lady showed us a pre-leased sectional. It looked nice. She insisted that it had been steam cleaned thoroughly. They wrote up the contract and we paid a down payment. The piece was delivered Monday June 2nd, 2025. When the delivery guys brought it in they were very friendly. 1st, they informed us they didn't send the legs for one half of it so it couldn't be hooked up. 2nd, they informed us they had sent the wrong cushions for it. They called the store and were returning to get the correct cushions and legs. While they were gone we tipped over the couch to terror. There were so many cockroaches. Some dead, many alive. One crawled out of the couch onto my wall and I flipped out. We got a flashlight and looked around the bottom edges. There were black spots where they had left excretion. The babies scurried under the edge of the wood when the light hit them. The entire bottom of the couch had the liner torn off. It was awful. I could have found nicer curb alert furniture. When the delivery drivers returned and we showed them they were dumbfounded. They took it out our apartment immediately. We went to the store to see what they were going to do. We were informed it was thrown in the dumpster. Why would they ever bring that in our new apartment? Not that it mattered if it were new or not. The salesman had to call the manager to approve the return. I heard him ask him on the phone if he was sure the roaches were on the couch not in the house? Seriously. The salesman said yes and they threw it out. I was shocked we were offered no kind of deal on another couch. In fact they acted like it was no big deal. I have been using Aaron's for about 20 years and I have never seen anything like this. I told the salesman if roaches were that bad they are probably on other furniture in the store. You know they got on the other furniture in the truck with it. I also sent a message with pics to corporate and they did ZERO! Not even a call back

They’re a mess over here. Seems like it is most rent to own places. I asked for my payment to be monthly. When I set up the account I worked with a lady named Alicia (not sure of the spelling). She was super nice and she let me know that if my payday fell on a date after my due date to call and they would remove the fees since I was paying monthly. The last time I called I was told they couldn’t do that and that she should have never done this. Cool fine I’ll pay the late fees. I’m not pressed over $18.00. I am not joking when I say I’ve explained this to their team at least a dozen times and I still get blown up daily. I have always made the payment. I’m in a financial position that I could just give the items back and buy brand new for cheaper than paying this out. I wish they would leave me alone before I go this route.

They won’t stop blowing up your phone even when you’re completely caught up on payments. Some people have actual jobs and have to work to pay the payments. 🤦🏻‍♀️
