  Wonderful shopping experience in Lexinton, Ky.. Duane Fields was fantastic! I've been helping my mom with her house after my step dad passed. She was in desperate need of a sofa with Thanksgiving coming up but we are on a tight budget. Mr. Fields approached me with professional friendliness and no pressure. He helped me pick out just the right sofa at exactly my budget. Being the shrewed man I am I told him I was gonna do a little more shopping. No pressure, he offered me his buisness card and I went along my way. I told myself if I find the same or even slightly better deal for a similar product I would base it on my customer experience. Needless to say I couldn't find a better deal (though Bob's was great aswell!) and I even shook the dust of my feet with one competitor. I'll be picking up the sofa next week with confidence that my mom will have the perfect sofa for her and the family during this Thanksgiving. Thank you Duane!

  Bought furniture from the Hamburg store. Took 4 times of delivery before the whole things was completed. The 1st time 2 pieces were damaged, 2nd time the replacement pieces were used/damaged, the third time they brought the wrong pieces and finally the 4th time the whole thing was correct and done. This is the 2nd purchase from the same store that took more than one delivery. The first purchase they delivered 2 different colors on the loveseat. So that took 2 deliveries. I will not personally buy any more furniture from Value City. Don't recommend it.

  We recently purchased a full bedroom set, accessories, and a mattress with a mattress cover from Value City Furniture on Nicholasville Road, and the entire experience has been an absolute nightmare. The initial delivery was incomplete — they forgot to deliver the mattress pad cover and also brought the wrong size bunkie boards. After speaking with management, we were assured that both issues would be resolved quickly: the bunkie boards would be exchanged, and the mattress pad would arrive the following week. Fast forward a week later — only the bunkie boards were delivered, still no mattress pad. I called the Nicholasville Road store again and was told they had contacted the other Value City location across town, and that a mattress pad would be placed in the manager’s office for me to pick up. I confirmed this multiple times because it’s a 45-minute drive for me. When I arrived at the other location, I was met by a rude staff member who told me there was no manager on site and that he couldn’t locate any mattress pad under my name. He refused to look up my order and made no effort to help me. I left the store upset and frustrated, called the Nicholasville location again, and was told the manager would call me at 1:30 p.m. to sort it out. It’s now hours later — nearly 4:30 p.m. — and still no call, no resolution, and no mattress pad. At this point, we decided to cancel the order entirely. It’s unacceptable how poorly this was handled. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service between stores and management is appalling. It’s incredibly disappointing and would have happily furnished more rooms through Value City Furniture, but after this experience, I will never shop here again. Buyer beware — the disorganization and indifference we encountered are simply grossly incompetent and disheartening.
