Great people in-store, but communication after purchase has been rough My first visit to Aaron’s in Topeka was genuinely great. The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient. I was able to get everything I wanted, and the initial delivery went smoothly. Due to personal circumstances, I ended up not needing the bedroom set at first, then things changed again and I did need it. They were understanding and worked with me, which I appreciated, and we picked out a new set and scheduled a delivery. That’s where things started to fall apart. Delivery was scheduled before 3 PM — they didn’t show until almost 5 PM. And that’s only after I tried calling a bunch of times and it just kept ringing and had to show up in person to the store to ask what was going on. They set everything up great once they arrived, but the communication leading up to that was frustrating. The most recent delivery was the breaking point. The bedroom set was too big (that’s on me) so I called and had to switch everything out with the proper size. Which again I appreciate that they worked with me when I finally was able to get ahold of them after days of calling and sending emails. I called the store the morning of, gave them my brother’s name and number because my travel plans changed, and was told that was fine by two different employees. The delivery team arrived, called me instead of him, and then refused to wait 15 minutes for him to meet them, and then told me I had to reschedule again — even though I changed my whole order to things that were in stock so we could avoid delays in the first place. I called back and admittedly went full Karen and was over it at that point and just canceled everything and requested they take it all back. I was told they’d come pick everything up between 10 AM and 3 PM the next day. I sat here all day — no call, no update — and by almost 4 PM the delivery team called simply said “we’re on the way, about ten minutes.” After I sat at home all day from 10am-3pm in the window they provided. And expected for me to be there after no communication all day? And again I tried calling the store multiple times to get updates, and again no answer. It would just ring and then hang up. So no, I’m not there. So now we have to reschedule AGAIN. The in-store experience was great, and the staff in person is kind and helpful. But the lack of communication, the constant rescheduling, missed time windows, and difficulty reaching someone by phone have made this a much more stressful process than it needed to be. Accountability and consistent communication are big areas that need improvement. I wouldn’t say I’d never shop here again — but only if these issues are addressed. The products are good and the people are nice, but the communication has to match the customer service they show in the showroom. Which is crazy to me because it’s all the same people!

Absolutely terrible experience at Aaron’s Furniture. Tracy and Tasha were incredibly rude and made snotty comments the entire time I tried to get help or communicate. I voluntarily gave back my furniture and waited for 3 days and made MULTIPLE calls for them to come get it and instead of fixing the issue, they acted like it was my fault for not answering prior to the 3 days and in their exact words “it’s an inconvenience to you not us” Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. They genuinely do not care about customers they are strictly for the money and use FEAR tactics to harass you. The furniture is very cheaply made and they charge you 4X the price!! “Thank you for being the best part of Aaron’s” Yeah because their employees definitely are not!! What a joke of a job.

Aarons had great options for our daughter and her husband to choose from with credit options that were so amazing! Thank you Aaron's employees for giving her the confidence of buying their new furniture. 😀

Horrible customer service. Staff needs to take a class on "how to communicate over the phone". No one knows what is going on. They have had my dryer for a week and they still don't know what is wrong with it. They brought me a replacement and it didn't work. The replacement for the replacment barely dries my clothes. They call and send me a payment reminder every month, 6 days before my payment is due. The kicker is, I am on automatic withdrawl. They charged me a late fee because they screwed up my automatic withdrawl. When I called to complain, they didn't care. Unfortunately they can only run my card once per day, even if the clerk missed up. They ran it the next day correctly, but charged me the one day late fee. I will never refer anyone to this company EVER. If you do not have the money to buy it out right, you don't need it. Lesson learned!
