We rented two storage units that were not properly sealed, which allowed water, humidity, and dirt to enter. As a result, mold grew all over our belongings, causing about $8,000 in damages. When we contacted the storage facility and their insurance provider (which we purchased through them), we were met with silence and no help at all. The storage facility’s own insurance provider has completely ignored our calls. We trusted this business to provide a safe, secure, and dry space for our belongings — and instead, everything was ruined. The lack of accountability and customer service has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. If you value your property and want peace of mind, I would recommend renting from a different facility that actually maintains their units and stands behind their customers.
