- MSMichael SimonsJun 13, 20225.0I reached out to Low Voltage to ask if they installed only their own residential cameras or would they be willing to install customer owned equipment. I have a hardwired system with an on site NVR to store the footage and didn't want to climb ladders or deal with getting in the attic to run wires. A simple request form on the website and they got back with me promptly. I was quoted for the job but Gary, the owner, wanted to come out to my house just to make sure he knew what my property looked like as well as my expectations for the installation of the system. I signed off on the job and he was out within a week or so to complete the work. He arrived shortly before his crew and they quickly got to work in the attic, garage and climbing ladders to get the wires ran for the cameras. Everything was promptly mounted and adjusted to my satisfaction as well as briefly looking over some of the settings on the NVR unit. I'd have no issues calling Low Voltage for any needs in the future or even replacing my equipment with something of theirs once mine became obsolete or no longer viable to run. One of the better experiences I have ran into with contracting work out since purchasing the house.

Many of the low voltage/security/monitoring companies out there are just large entities that are too impersonal. In terms of equipment, they can work with any manufacturer's system. In terms of monitoring, we had many false alarms for doors being left open by the kids, and they have not failed. They're knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Low Voltage is so wonderful to work with that I recommend them to all my clients.
