I just wanted to share that I just had fantastic service at the Blindman. I have a bunch of Hunter Douglas Duet shades in our house that were installed over 20 years ago and have the LiftRise technology that allows the user to raise and lower the shades just by lifting or pulling down on the shade. It's very slick -- except when either the internal strings or the controlling mechanism breaks. That had happened a few times in the past and every time it did, I would take the blind in for repair and it would take several weeks (and sometimes several months) before the shade would come back from repair.
So, today when I brought my broken shade in, I was expecting a similar situation. Boy was I ever pleasantly surprised!! Elizabeth and her husband John looked at the shade and John asked if I could wait 10 minutes. He took the shade back in his workshop and came out a few minutes later with a perfectly operating shade. It turned out that the internal controller mechanism was broken and John replaced it on the spot. I was blown away. These are good folks and they work very hard to provide excellent service.

I have a huge (88") shade from another company (Bali) that they restrung for me and also cleaned via their ultrasonic cleaner. The shade now looks and works great!
Admittedly, there were some challenges due to bookkeeping, spelling, and labeling errors (arising from previous employees) that resulted in delays in getting my shade back to me.
However, the arrival of the aforementioned trio resulted in immediate investigation and remedy for me, indicating that the current restoration of this shop is back to its previously fine standards.
Their intervention was swift and professional once my situation was known, and bodes well for any future transactions which a customer may have with this business.
