I went back inside and explained the situation. The attendant was polite and tried to help, but even though the photo and description of what I ordered didn’t match what I received, their system showed it as the correct product. He called the supplier, but they were closed for the weekend. He then tried to process a return and refund, but their system wasn’t working either. Eventually, he reached someone who confirmed the system was down, and I was told to try again on Monday. While I understand this wasn’t the attendant’s fault, I left frustrated. As someone who works in customer service, I feel the situation should have been handled differently. Instead of asking me to call or come back on Monday, I would have expected them to take ownership of the issue and let me know they’d follow up once it was resolved. The mistake was on Leslie’s end, the wrong item was sent, and their system was down, so the responsibility shouldn’t fall back on the customer to chase a resolution. Overall, I’m not impressed with Leslie’s Pool as a business and disappointed with the customer service at this location.
