Purchased a cabinet bed online, takes 2.5 months to deliver, fine. But then I see once the order arrives I can’t return it (value promises are what all of your competitors offer). Now I get an email that the bed is out of stock. I tried to call the store, left on hold, went to live chat for the Brick, spent 20 mins to find out that someone from their team has to call me to refund (what am I refunding if it’s out of stock). Seems like you’re going to not last long operating like a retailer from the 2000s.. I’ll return to Article and Endy.

This is a PSA! Do not shop with The Bricks. Ever. This business is incompetently run and has a bizarre shipping policy that allows them to avoid responsibility. My order arrived damaged, and I cannot get an exchange or refund because FedEx shipped it and I missed a 48-hour reporting window due to severe back pain. Apparently, having back pain makes the damage my fault. That’s life, right? I went into the store to buy a coffee table and was told I had two options: pay $90 for delivery, or order it online and pay $40 for shipping. Online orders are shipped by FedEx, which means The Brick takes no responsibility once the item leaves their hands. The table I ordered was damaged. The wood was chipped off on the edge. FedEx did not deliver the package to my doorstep because my building’s elevator was broken. I live on the fourth floor, and because I had severe back pain at the time, I couldn’t bring it upstairs myself. I did so about a week later when I recovered. When I unboxed the table to assemble it, I immediately noticed the damage. I packed it back up and emailed The Brick’s customer service with photos. Their response was that they could do nothing because I missed the 48-hour window to report damage to FedEx, not to them. Why would The Brick take responsibility for their own products, right? So now my options are to either accept their “gracious” $50 refund on a $400 table, or live with a damaged table. All because The Brick chose a shipping system that shifts blame and failed to clearly communicate these requirements upfront. This business is a joke. The lack of accountability is insulting, and the incompetence is real. "FeDeX DiD iT tHeReFoRe i gOoD" is not a mentality ANY business should follow.
