  Joel is awesome with his advice on how to securely install the Closetmaid shelf with rod holder. My boyfriend and I were very happy with his helpful suggestions. Also, the young lady who bolt cutted the wire shelf is amiable.

  Like many other neighbours have already posted, they ruthlessly ticket their own paying customers in their parking lot. I spoke with management who said they would follow up, but in the end did nothing. I literally live across the street and have no need to use their lot for anything other than Rona business. Prior to getting this ticket I had spent well over a thousand dollars. After getting this ticket, they will be getting nothing from me. I genuinely look forward to seeing a new company take over this location after experiencing this business’s complete lack of neighbourliness. Proudly Canadian? Please act like it.

  I usually go to Home Depot but Rona seemed to have better pricing on some lawn items. Even though it's a longer drive I wanted to try Rona because they're Canadian. The lawn items are not as diverse as HD but I found what I needed and went to pay inside and pick up outside. Cashiers seemed professional and pleasant, positive communication. Outside pickup, not so much. After notifying the outdoor staff I needed help he told me he'll "be a while" (helping someone else). So I waited (in plain sight) but after he was done he just stayed in his hut. Another staff walked by so I asked him and he questioned why I couldn't do it myself (because he doesn't want to help me either), which is rather unprofessional, irrelevant and rude. Why would Rona hire such pathetic staff? Since it's so inconvenient for staff to assist me I won't be coming back. I recommend Home Depot which has decent reliable service. WindsorPlywood or Lee Valley (both Canadian) have excellent service. Canadian tire have inexperienced staff by trade but they're professional and friendly. Plenty of better options.

  I have spent thousands of $ at Rona over the years and the last timemade a purchase at RONA in Richmond and parked in their parking lot. happened to walk across the street to do an errand. Their harsh style parking lot police put a ticket on my car WITHIN 4 MINS of me leaving the car. I came back did my purchase and spent some time browsing in Rona found on my car there was a ticket. I appealed to them but they want to fine me…. Ridiculous customer carelessness. It was a rainy Monday afternoon and the parking lot was only about 10 or 20% filled. Talk about lousy customer care and frankly meanness. Ive had bad experiences with RoNa before after buying a washer and dryer and having their delivery/installers instal in the machines. They didn’t attach the water hose properly and it made a slow leak and damaged my floor. I emailed and called and RONA basically ignored me and took no responsibility for the faulty instal . I will never buy appliances from them. I will also boycott the Richmond RONA because of their harsh disrespectful disregard for a customer. At least other locations don't have parking police with nothing better to do than harass customers. Frankly while some of The Rona staff are good, others are often less acquainted with their products in their stores so I recommend people to shop elsewhere. Canadian Tire, Home hardware. Even Hone Depot were the staff are more knowledgeable.
